Many guests at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge in Wald Disney World have had the opportunity to participate in a fun and unique experience. One guest family is selected to raise the American Flag each morning. A second guest family is selected to lower the American Flag each evening, and yes your family could be one of them!
Upon checking into the resort, families that wish to participate, should mention the Flag Family Experience and ask if you can sign up. If you are the selected family, you will be told when and where to meet the guide. This little known FREE, experience could your families for the asking.
Your family will then be escorted to the roof of the Wilderness Lodge. You will be treated to an amazing view of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom during the program that lasts approximately 10 minutes, but the memory lasts a lifetime! Following the ceremony, the cast member will take your family photo and give you an official Wilderness Lodge frame to hold your memory.
